The Evolution of DJi

The Beginning

DJI was founded in the year 2006 just like any other startup tech company, in a dorm room. Inventor, Frank Wang, Concluded to use the company to solve a definitive problem about remote-controlled flying. Wang saw a need for improving a reliable flight experience to an underserved user, as in someone who doesnt know how to fly or operate the product. there were porblems with the flight controller being built by experienced hands, but that all changed when the company released a ready-made DJI XP flight controller. providing the reliable performance needed to operate comfortably. This came as the first product of its kind, expanding the possibilities to more products and people.

The Perfect Drone

After making flying simpler for poeple, DJI plowed forward with many porblems to solve, RC helicopters. Their plan was to exchanged the single propellor with a coordinated group of smaller ones, allowing them to create a quiter, smaller, and lighter motor design since the work of lifitng would be spread between the four propellors. aslo, benefits those who need a more responsive control. From this DJI created the Flame Wheel in 2011 target more for everyday use.

User-Friendly And Ready For Takeoff

The Phantom 1, released in 2012 was the world first compatible ready-to-fly consumer drone with no assembly required. Being compact, discreet, and streamlined, the phantom had no exposing wires or controls. while repsesenting simplicity and accessibility, this product embodied that flying is for everyone which is why they make their prodoucts with taste. This ultimatelly was the beginning of the consumer drone market was born.

Multiple Industries

As the Phantom series took off in the drone market, this specific product reached across several professions, hobbies, and surprisingly from real estate agents to wedding photographers. This drone alone was diversifying, allowing filmmakers to make blockbuster ariel shots at a fraction of the cost. This scenario hatched the product called The inspire 1, for professional ariel imaging.
